The Waco UPF 7 is, apart from Waco Classic’s highly modified YMF 5, the most well known Waco biplane. Awards
My airplane hasn’t won and awards that I know of. Rare Aircraft has won lots of them for their Waco and other antique restorations so I’m sure if they’d showed this plane back in 2008 when they restored it they’d have taken a Lindy home.
Why this Waco UPF?
I am unaware of any special history for this plane except that it, like thousands of others trained the pilots of the Greatest Generation to fly.
